Independent open-source engineering

Hardware software, built for real machines.

HWcontrol2.0 is a cross-platform desktop application for hardware telemetry, diagnostics and supported device control. Its design prioritizes local data, explicit hardware capabilities and fail-safe behavior.

Beta software. Hardware support depends on the operating system, drivers and detected device capabilities.

Designed around user control

Useful first. Transparent by design.

Local-first telemetry

Hardware readings and routine diagnostic data are intended to remain on the device unless the user explicitly exports or shares them.

Capability-gated control

Control options must reflect the active backend and device support. Unsupported paths should remain unavailable rather than pretending to work.

Inspectable engineering

Review the source, release notes, security policy and known limitations before installing a beta build.

Start here

Get from discovery to a useful test.

Choose the platform guide, check the current release assets and follow the verification steps. If a package or hardware path is unavailable, report it with the device and OS details instead of assuming it is supported.

Help make the beta better

Independent testers are valuable when they report reproducible results across different hardware and operating systems.

  • Include OS, architecture and app version.
  • Describe expected and actual behavior.
  • Remove secrets and personal data from logs.
